Organising content

filofax-metropol-personal-2Well, that was a mission I have absolutely no intention of ever repeating again.

I have migrated posts across from my original blog which was erratic at best, but posts dated back to 2008 and while I initially thought I’d just let them die with the domain they were on, I have decided some of the content is worth keeping a track of.

So, for the past couple of hours I’ve spent rebuilding the content here. Given that WordPress makes it easy with the export/import feature, one site I pulled content from was running Joomla which does not have that capability so I had to do some by hand.

I’ve fixed the content image links, or at least I’m pretty sure I got them all. If I’ve missed anything or you notice any odd ball links please let me know. I know of a video which I need to sort out and there is probably another one, which I will get to over the weekend.

I’m also pleased to say that this will forever be the home of my personal blog 🙂 in that I don’t want to go through all the bull shit of moving everything again. With the redundancies of a few domains the time I spent just keeping those up and running will be spent on creating more actual content rather than just back end crap.

I’ve migrated down to two domains for the most part, I still have a couple of others which I will hopefully also get more time to spend on content but primarily this and one other will get my priority from now on.

Anyway, if you’re so inclined have a look back through my previous stuff. Who knows, you may find something entertaining or informative in amongst them.

oh, and yes that is my Filofax in the pic. I use a paper planner even for planning digital content.
